TThe art2art Project is managed by Aid Based Renaissance Organisation (ABRO) of Pottuvil. ABRO was established in 2004, (registration number P/DS/SW4/NGO/17) and is a non-profit NGO registered in Sri Lanka, comprising of some twenty members. "Share Benefits through Service" is the mission of ABRO and our priorities are alleviation of poverty, education and child care, environmental issues and disaster management. Other activities ABRO has implemented include distribution of emergency relief, assistance to tsunami survivours, free seminars and classes for GCE O level students, Shiramadana voluntary community service; cleaning the hospital, police station, schools, mosques and temples, repairs and maintenance on the homes of the poor and elderly, tree planting, AIDS and malaria awareness programmes and organising religious festivals. Future plans include establishing livelihood projects such as a community laundry service, bag making and weaving, cattle and poultry farming, paddy husking and curd production.
